Day 2

We will be up bright and early for sunrise and seascape photography, down at Point Hunter (near Emily Bay). After breakfast, there will be a half day familiarisation bus tour of the island. This will give you an idea of what type of photography opportunities to expect at Norfolk Island during the coming week as well as giving you photo opportunities along the way. After lunch and a break to recover from our early start, we will head to Crystal Pools for a wonderful seascape and landscape session.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will drive to St Barnabas Church, a lovely old stone church with stunning stained glass windows. Morning tea is at a local, rustic cafe, where you can ask Michael any photography-related questions. We will then head of to the north-east of the island for some more seascape photography at the Two Chimneys Lookout. There will also be a good chance to photograph the delightful White Terns as they fly overhead.

Free time after lunch and then it’s off to Anson Bay for some seascape and sunset photography. Using the large, oval rock boulders as foreground features can make for some stunning sunset shots.

Day 4

Here’s another chance to take some great seascapes at sunrise, photographing the waves as they crash over algae-covered rocks, with Michael. This time the location will be Cemetery Bay. Back for brekky, then we spend a few hours photographing the old government and convict buildings in Kingston, as well as the herds of cattle and flocks of geese, feeding in the foreground of the buildings. Very photogenic and so much history!!

After this session, it’s a free morning to explore Norfolk and photograph whatever you like, or alternatively, join one of Norfolk’s many tours.
