Have you ever wanted to take better pictures of your family and friends? Maybe you are the person in the family with a DSLR so everyone automatically turns to you to take the family portraits at family events and occasions?

Or maybe you would just like to use your mobile phone better to take photos of your kids at school events, outings and other special times. Well, help is here. Even the best landscape and wildlife photographers sometimes struggle with taking pictures of people, especially the little ones that don’t sit still or pose nicely!

Photographic Tips and Techniques

 
With the use of a model, we will teach the different types of portrait photography:

  • Where to position your subjects and yourself
  • Lighting (with the sun, reflectors and flash
  • Shooting in shade
  • What lens to use for different scenarios and results
  • Bokeh and depth of field
  • How to use your DSLR and mobile phone camera correctly to take great portraits

Michael Snedic has teamed up with renowned Brisbane Portrait Photographer, Tim Miller, from Dreamcoat Photography, to bring a portrait workshop to you.

Situated in the beautiful Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Toowong, you will have a small class of no more than 10 people. With access to both of our incredible wealth of knowledge of cameras and photography, you will get a lot out of this workshop!!

In a relaxed and casual environment, you will have plenty of time to work with myself and Tim, have your questions answered and take away some great photos and learning for the future of your portrait photography.
