WHY CHOOSE WILDNATURE PHOTO EXPEDITIONS FOR YOUR NEXT AFRICAN PHOTO SAFARI?

Since 2014, Michael Snedic has been presenting photo safaris across various countries in Africa, including Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Sabi Sabi, Madagascar, Namibia and Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. A number of these locations have been revisited multiple times (especially the Maasai Mara in Kenya), due to the incredible close-up experiences to many iconic (and rare) African wildlife species.

Over time, I have fine-tuned my photo safaris, concentrating on certain locations due to the incredible variety and numbers of wildlife. I request guides who know where the best wildlife sightings are and the best times to visit. Accommodation is very comfortable and meals provided are scrumptious and home-made. I can also organise travel packages , which include airport transfers, hotels and internal flights via my contacts, to make your booking experience hassle-free.

From the minute you are picked up at the local airport, until you are dropped off at the same airport at the end of your photo safari  everything is organised! My aim is to give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience, without having to worry about a thing : - ))

PHOTOGRAPHIC OPPORTUNITIES

I only use the most experienced guides, who are photographic specialists. They know where to go for the best wildlife experiences and when the best times are to go. Once there, the guides navigate their safari vehicles for best angles and lighting to ensure the best possible photos. They also take ‘requests’, especially if you have certain species you wish to photograph.

We generally leave camp around 5.45am, heading out to search for wildlife to photograph, as the sun is rising. At around 8.30am, we search for a suitable location to have out 'bush breakfast'. We then head on out searching for more photographic opportunities, before heading back to our safari lodge for lunch. After lunch there's time to have a break and rest during the heat of the day. I will be available to talk photography and to help with any issues you may be experiencing. At around 3pm, we head out once again on a game drive, before returning back to base after sunset.

As a professional wildlife photography tutor with over 20 years of experience, I am with you on each and every game drive, giving instruction on how to best capture amazing images of the African wildlife you encounter.

WHAT TIMES OF THE DAY DO WE HEAD OUT ON SAFARI?

Each day, we head out on safari before the sun rises, ensuring we are out in the filed while the amazing African sunrises are at their peak. Bush breakfast is set up whilst out on safari, which is a wonderful experience in itself. Generally, we head back to camp around midday, where we have lunch. After a break, we head out again in the afternoon, through to sunset.

OUR GUIDES

The guides I employ for WildNature Photo Expeditions African photo safaris are carefully chosen and all are very experienced. They know where the wildlife are, the best times of the day to visit certain areas and are specialist driver/guides for photography. They happily take 'requests' to ensure that you, the photographer, has the best possible African photo safari experience! Having been born and bred in the Maasai Mara, they know the land and its wildlife better than anyone.

ACCOMODATION

Your accommodation will be very comfortable, with each room having its own toilet and shower, electricity and wifi. Over the many safaris I have presented over the years, I still get chills up my spine when I’m in my room and I either encounter wildlife up close or I hear them nearby. Don’t worry, there are either electric fences around the property or guards stationed day and night, to keep out any unexpected furry guests!

SAFARI VEHICLES

The safari vehicles used are designed with photographers in mind. They allow for low-angle shooting, beanbags are provided for camera/lens stability and the roof can be lifted up to allow you to stand up in the vehicles. Also, you are always guaranteed a ‘window seat’ for best photo opportunities. That way you will never sit in the middle and feel you are missing out on shots.

For 2-3 guests, we use one vehicle with three rows, so you get plenty of room to move around and have the opportunity to get the best possible shots.

For 4-6 guests, we use TWO vehicles, once again ensuring you have plenty of room for your gear and to take the best possible shots.

We always travel in tandem, so I can help you with your photography, no matter what vehicle you are travelling in.
