Nature Photo Walk attendees

Recently, I presented a free ‘Nature Photo Walk’ at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Toowong, Queensland. It was great to see participants so very keen, with lots of photography-related questions. I basically concentrated on wildlife and macro photography techniques and even though I initially didn’t intend to make this a structured photography workshop, I ended up giving some sessions to the very keen group!

Subjects covered included recommended apertures, depth-of-field, suggested shutter speeds, focal styles, focus points, lighting, metering, composition and lots more.

It was great to have photographers take notes and absorb the information given, then practise those techniques. I was there to help with any issues or questions people had and to also make sure they were on the right path.
